RIP Louis Langenhoven
A few years ago a bunch of us decided to go watch the Tri Nations test between SA and Aus at a pub next to Hartebeespoort dam. A mate of mine had a combi so we all went there in the combi. Another mate of ours, Louis, drove there by himself. The booze was flowing and all was in a festive mood. As we left in the combi, Louis and another mate of ours sped off is his car before us. It was broad day light, not even a km from the pub, he went round a corner too fast, lost control of his car and slammed into the oncoming traffic. This happened right in front of us, Louis died on the scene of severe trauma to the head, Coenraad survived but with broken ribs, punctured lung and internal injuries. The driver of the other car survived the crash but died later because of complications caused by the crash.
Believe me, its no fun seeing your best friend die, blood pouring from his mouth, ears and eyes. While next to him your other friend looks like he is also about to die.
Its a image that will live with me for the rest of my life.
Don’t let this happen to you, it destroys lives and families.
