Monique Ross
My name is Monique aged 28 from a local community on the Cape flats.
Growing up in Cape Town has been a pleasurable experience for me and feel very fortunate to have lived in a household and exposed to a modern lifestyle and good upbringing.
At the age of 17 I still felt something was missing and a sense of belonging, this led me to explore and being peer pressured into Abusing substances.
This process carried on for 8 years and life just spiralled out of control. 3 years ago I was invited to attend a meeting at Impact Direct Ministries which changed my life forever.
Later that year I was told to explore some more this time around it was for social good with social media tools and since then have not turned back.
I have since started my own Blog called http://shesthegeek.co.za which is focussed to educate and empower women through the use of various computer, mobile and social technologies that is always fun and in turn having them leave a legacy for the next generation
I aim to Provide training, consulting, guest posts, technology reviews, talks and everything related to women and technology in the near future
