My younger sister does not drink, so for quite some time now, we have been lucky enough to have a permanent designated driver. If she isn’t available, we ensure whoever is driving is not drinking. I think I might annoy my mates sometimes because I am so 100% against drinking and driving, that I won’t even have one drink. But it is the right thing to do, and in the end they’ll thank me for making them responsible too.
We lost a friend to a motorist drinking and driving a few yrs ago, and I think all South African’s should pledge to this cause! Let’s prevent those tragic accidents.
I now enjoy being pulled over by Police, it shows them that when you blow 0.00 there are in fact responsible citizens out there – not all young adults are hooligans!
