Just don’t do it!
I have lost too many people that I love thanks to the effects of alcohol. People I will never be able to touch, see, hold or love again. Young friends in the prime of their lives who never got to have children, celebrate life’s blessings and succeed in life. Such beautiful people who did one stupid thing and are now gone forever.
Two 18 year old boys were killed on my street a few months ago both of whom were drinking and driving and had a car accident. The crosses their families have placed on the side of the road are a constant, sad reminder for me. Last year, a young woman crashed into my neighbours wall and ended up wedged between two trees…she is so lucky that she managed to survive the incident.
Drinking and driving ruins too many lives…Just don’t do it, because it CAN happen to you!
We offer booklets and support to the families of people who have died becoz they drove after drinking,or were killed by a drunk driver. This type of death is very traumatic as they are unnecessary,preventable and there was no time to say “goodbye”. Us families left behind are scarred and never the same again.
