Hit by drunk driver
I got hit by a drunk driver back in 2007… he drove right through a red light and t-boned my car while I was driving through Houghton. He was so drunk that he passed out in his seat after the crash; I thought he was dead until the paramedics arrived. It wasn’t all bad though…I got to see an airbag deploy, which was a childhood dream come true.
I hit my head pretty solidly on my car window and was quite badly concussed, but had no serious injuries. The drunk driver was taken to hospital and later charged, but he got off because the blood sample was taken too long after the accident had happened to be legally admissible in court.
